This is a commission for =GermanCityGirl, of her renegade Jedi Tanake Trang.

I do have to say she has a really great design, a lot better than other Jedi that I have seen. She has a ton of other renditions of Tanake, so I was glad that I had a lot of reference to work from.

There are a lot of things I like about this image. I love everything from the waist up. The sense of line you get from the arm and the saber is cool.

The hips sort of throw it off, to me. This is an older work of yours and you've definitely improved, so I hope you don't mind me saying this. The legs/hips do not seem to be realistically aligned/attached with the body. If I focus there, it seems a little jarring. Fortunately, the strong sense of line keeps guiding me up to the part that I love about the image.

The hair is probably my favorite detail. The way the hair is arranged gives the image a sense of motion, too. Like she just stopped and turned suddenly. I feel like she's doing a lightsaber kata or sword-dance meditation of some kind.

And the combined imagery of the hair and tattoos makes me think of the Blue-ringed-octopus, which is everyone's favorite little octopus.

What program do you use to get it that way and is it good for a mac?

Its Photoshop CS3, and it works better on Macs then it does on PCs.

If im not mistaken, thought it's probably not deliberate, that looks like she's using a modification of the Soresu form.

Officially Grey Jedi are Jedi who do not work directly aside the main body of the order or do not see the line between the Light and the Dark to be so clear rather a bit fuzzy if you get my meaning, they may be Jedi who have bad relations with the council and thus choose to wander the galaxy, along those sort of lines basically.
According to Wookieepedia (The Star Wars wiki)Master Qui-Gon Jin could have been classified as a Grey Jedi.
Still nice work man, she looks really graceful and elegant and I bet her fighting style reflects that.
